Welsh Gymnastics is looking for Talent Development Coaches in two disciplines – Women’s Artistic Gymnastics and Rhythmic Gymnastics.This is a great opportunity for two talented, motivated and committed individuals to
contribute to the Welsh Gymnastics Strategic Plan and deliver on the performance
objectives of gymnastics within Wales.

The talent development coach’s role is to
 Research, breakdown and document the key factors of a talented medal winning
gymnast
 Produce and test identification processes and resources
 Regularly audit the holistic ability level of all 5 and 8 years old in selected
performance clubs to use as a benchmark and monitoring tool
 Work with clubs to provide a guide to identification and development through the age
range 5 – 8 years
 Produce yearly training and assessment programmes for clubs to utilise
 Facilitate a programme of coach education and presentations to assist with the
delivery of the programme and up-skill identified coaches
 Visit and mentor coaches and clubs working within the programme
 Monitor and adapt the programme against identified yearly targets
 Liaise and work with the Club Development Officers in order to contribute to the
development of gymnastics in Wales and ensure good practice is shared.

The P.A. Aerials Gymnastics club is looking for a Full-Time Coach to round out our coaching staff for the 2012- 2013 gymnastics season. This position would be 35-40 hours per week with time spent in competitive T & T, Women’s, and Men’s as well as some recreational hours during the daytime.

T & T: Our Trampoline and Tumbling program has athletes at all provincial and developmental levels and consistently develops Western’s contenders. We are in need of a coach to head this program (6-12 hours).

WAG: Our highly successful Women’s Artistic program (Top Team 2011) is in need of another coach to support our Head Coach and Developmental Head. We are in need of someone to coach Provincial 1 – 2 and assist with developmental and Provincial 3 – National as needed (9-16 hours).

MAG: During the past season we have put work into developing a competitive Men’s program. Our pre- competitive boys are ready to try the next level! We need a coach comfortable with Level 1 – 2 that can work with our current men’s coach and the Head Coach (6 – 9 hours).

REC: Hours in rec will mainly consist of daytime support to our Recreational Director.

ADMINISTRATION: Approximately 5 hours per week

The P.A. Gymnastics club provides instruction to over 750 children at all levels. We pride ourselves on diverse programming by offering five disciplines (WAG, MAG, TTG, RHYTM, GYM FOR ALL) with quality instruction catering to all levels from participation to excellence. We operate out of a permanent 24,000 square foot facility with 2 in- ground trampolines, 2 rod floors, a foam pit, and top quality equipment for all disciplines offered.

The ideal candidate should possess:
 Level 2 WAG/MAG (or willing to obtain)
 Level 1 Trampoline (Level 2 preferred)
 Respect in Sport (or willing to obtain)
 Criminal Records Check
 Previous coaching experience or athlete experience at a high level
 Be a TEAM player
 Enthusiasm for sport, coaching, and the ability to promote gymnastics within the community
 Great organizational skills
 Willingness to learn

Salary Range: $30,000 – $40,000+ per year (depending on qualifications), this also includes an excellent benefits package. There is potential for relocation assistance for the right applicant
